10. John Woodrow Schafluetzel was born on 5 November 1912 in 2113 N 12 St; St. Louis, MO. Copy of Birth certificate has spelling of last name as Schaflitzel.
Middle initial was not shown.
It was officially modified as John W. Schafluetzel 10/21/70. He was baptized on 17 November 1912 in St. Liborius; St. Louis, MO.² He died on 3 June 1986 in Greeley, CO. John was cremated on 6 June 1986 in Creamation; Cache La Poudre. Disposition of ashes in the Cache la Poudre river was done later in July when Dennis returned to Colorado.

At the funeral when the priest was reciting a prayer to commend the spirit of John W. Schafleutzel to heaven, a storm darkened the skies and a large gust of wind blew open the doors to the church. Very Dramatic! A true showman to the end! He had Social Security Number 493-07-8592. EDUCATION:

ETHELYN SCHAFLUETZEL

Mrs. Schfluetzel 72, who was active in several community activities in Greeley, died Friday June 23, in Greeley.

She was born Dec. 18, 1916, in St. Louis, Mo. to Andrew F. and Ethyl (Lindermann) Shasserre.

On June 5, 1938, she married John W. Schafluetzel in St. Louis. Mrs.
Schafluetzel and her husband came to Greeley from Lincoln, Neb. in 1948. He died June 3, 1986.

She served as president of the Arlington Elementary School PTA, was president
of the Lioness Club, and servered the Cerebral Palsy Association of Greeley for
many years.

Survivors are a daughter Mrs. Carolyn Mandelkow of Greeley; two sons, John R.
Schafluetzel of Greeley and Dennis Schafluetzel of Chattanooga, Tenn.; eight
grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Tusday at Macy Chapel. Interment will be in Linn Grove Cemetery.

Friends may visit from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at the Macy Chapel. She was christened in Holy Ghost; St. Louis, MO. Ethelyn was buried in Lynn Grove; Greeley, CO. Linn Grove Cemetery; Block 30, Row 24, Grave 1. She had Social Security Number 497-03-7848. EDUCATION:
Beaumont High School 1 year.
