Passage or Freight Scrip
The Memphis and Charleston Railroad scrip was issued in 5, 10, 25 and
50 cent denominations. The 25 cent scrip has two varieties with a red
seal and one with a blue seal. The 50 cent has two varieties with a red
seal and with a blue/green train.
Garland lists the 50 cent rarity as R-13 (5-10)
and the others as R-14 (2-4).
